Chief
Executive Officer
Don Nichols is Chief Executive Officer of Arizona Treatment Institute,
LLC. and AARC, Inc.( a 34-bed residential alcoholism, drug dependence,
and compulsive gambling facility) in Casa Grande, AZ. Previously,
he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Pathways of Casa
Grande, a 32-bed residential alcoholism and drug dependence treatment
center for adolescents.
Mr. Nichols began his career in the addictions treatment industry
while still on active duty with the U.S. Navy, working in the Navy's
alcoholism and drug treatment programs in 1973. Since that time,
Nichols has held numerous positions in the behavioral health treatment
industry, including, counselor, senior counselor, program manager,
director of community relations, program director, executive director,
and chief executive officer.
Mr. Nichols is active in the community and recently served as the
president of the board of directors of the National Council on Alcoholism
and Drug Dependence in Phoenix. He is a past (and founding) president
of the Arizona Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors
(AzAADAC) and a past Treasurer of the National Association of Alcoholism
and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC. He is a certified alcoholism
and drug abuse counselor (CADAC), a Master Addictions Counselor
(MAC), and a Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). Mr. Nichols received
his masters degree from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA.

Program
Director
Larry G. Osmonson has been in the profession of Addiction Counseling
for thirty plus years. After maintaining self-recovery through twelve
step self-help groups, Osmonson began his career in addictions counseling
in Florida. In 1973 Larry was instrumental in founding the Florida
Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (FAADAC). Prior
to that he co-founded Southwest Florida Alcoholism Services and
served as the first President of that facility.
Mr. Osmonson has worked at treatment facilities in Florida, Louisiana,
Montana and Arizona. Larry has served on the board of directors
of the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors
(NAADAC), as Southwest Regional Vice-President, Legislative Chairman,
President Elect and as President from 1992 to 1994. He has served
on the advisory board of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of
Health Care Facilities (JACHO), was co-author and Group Leader for
the Criteria Manual for Intensive Outpatient Treatment for the Center
for Substance Abuse Prevention, and the Department of Health and
Human Services Administration.
He has an MA in Theology and a BA in Psychiatry, has attended the
University of South Florida and Jackson State University accreditation
programs on Drug and Alcoholism Counseling, Moreno Institute of
Psychodrama, Gestalt Institute and training in Realty Therapy. Larry
has worked as Executive Director, Facility Director, Group Leader
and counselor during his career. He is also a certified Trauma resolution
Therapist. And served on the Board of Directors of the American
Compulsive Gamblers Counselor Certification Board.
